The Mele Kai

Pictured to the left is the "Mele Kai", 41 feet of fishing excitement. We recognize that some clients want the best in fishing, some clients want fun and others want safety. On the Mele Kai we offer Fishing, Fun AND Safety.

The Mele Kai was custom designed by Wild Bill after 20 years in the charter business. (see about us) Built in Australia, this is a sport fishing boat that can handle the Hawaiian waters and cater to the customers needs. The "Mele Kai" is a 41 ft. power cat (double hull) custom designed with extra deck space to ensure maximum fishing room and a spacious fly bridge for panoramic views of the surrounding area. She has two state rooms with queen sized beds and a bathroom with a full shower and hot water. The salon features spacious seating, a convienient dining area and a complete sound system. We also feature a galley with a stove, refrigerator and sink. All this is surrounded by plenty of windows for those beautiful Kauai views.

The "Mele kai" has a spacious bridge with plenty of room for all to sit up with the captain, if weather permits. The entire boat provides a wonderful view of Kauai and a bird's eye view of all the Kauai fishing action.

The "Mele Kai" features a drug and alcohol free crew. We believe only the customers should be enjoying their beer. Feel free to bring your own refreshments, only in cans or plastic bottles please!

The Fishing Gear

The Mele Kai is outfitted stern to bow with top of the line sportfishing gear that includes a fighting chair, outriggers, several large fish boxes, and many more amenities.

We use top of the line gear, and all of our rods are custom built for fishing in Hawaii.

The Mele Kai is a vessel with all safety equipment. The Mele Kai meets or exceeds all United States Coast Guard safety requirements. She has twin Cummins diesels (very quiet) with 315 hp each. The electronics are Furuno NavNet. She has two GPS and fish finders. You can rest assured that Captain Harry is going to put you on the fish AND he does this with the utmost concern for your safety.
