Mele Kai Capt. Harry Rivera and Crew
Your skipper, Captain Harry Rivera, is a native of Puerto Rico with more than 15 years of local Kauai fishing knowledge and experience. He is joined by his first mate Pete who is also extremely skilled in Kauai sport fishing. Together they form one great crew.
Captain Harry Rivera is also well known and respected by his fellow Hawaii fishing guides and Captains.
In addition, Captain Harry is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary.
He has helped build C-Lure charters around a philosophy of honesty and integrity.
For years Captain Harry's passion for fishing has earned him a fine reputation and repeat business. His customers keep coming back each year which says everything about the great time they had fishing with Captain Harry.
Captain Harry's Philosophy
Harry says "Fishing is a very spiritual experience".
"You need to tune into your surroundings ... the ocean" to help find fish.
He asks his customers to be humble and patient . "Good Vibes" are important to help find and catch fish.

- He Started fishing in Puerto Rico where he grew up.
- 1991 Moved to Kauai
- 1991-2001, Captained his own boat a Force 21
- 2001-2002, Worked the Konani Star, a 55 ft. Delta
- 2001- 2002, Worked the Happy Hunter a 41 ft. Pacifica.
- 2003-2006, Captained the Wild Bill a 32 ft. Jersey Fisher.
- 2006-Present,.Captained the Mele Kai a 41 ft. Noosa Cat
The first mate:
The first mate, Pete Johnson, is also a part time pro surfer. He grew up fishing with his Dad, who was a tournament fisherman and worked charter boats in California. Pete started fishing at a young age and has never stopped. Pete has been fishing on Kauai for seven years. He is very knowledgeable about local conditions, well liked by the customers and will cater to your every need

Captain Andrew:
Captain Andrew is one of C-Lure's part time captains and also owns his own boat, a 21 ft> GlassPro. He has been fishing on Kauai for 21 years. He also is a great chef and has worked at hotels and restaurants here on Kauai
Captain Rick:
Captain Rick is another part time captain also owns his own boat, a 21 ft> Power Cat. He has been fishing on Kauai for over 30 years. He teaches CPR, safty classes and rough water swimming. He also is a member of the Auxiliary Coast Guard.
Glenda Johnson:
Glenda is our General manager and handles all the details. She is also Pete's Mom. She helped run Wild Bill's Charters and will make sure you get all the information you need. That is Glenda on left with the late Captain "Wild Bill"
